Mr. Fils-Aime is a first-generation Haitian American and a graduate of Cathedral High School in the South End of Boston. He received a BA of Arts in Political Science, a Double Minor in Communications and Black Studies at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, and a Masters in Education from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. He has a certification in Administration from Northeastern University.

Francois is an alum of the Lead Boston Program, a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy, Emerging Leaders Program College of Management at the University of Massachusetts, a Tufts University Alum of the Non-Profit Management and Leadership Program, and the Co-Founder of Brunch and Ball Mentoring Program.

He is a University Massachusetts Boston Student-Athlete Mentor, former High School Teacher, Dean of Students, Vice Principal, Principal, and a four year College Football player and student-athlete.

Francois was Board Director for the YMCA of Greater Boston (Oldest YMCA in America). Currently, Francois is the Immediate Past District Representative of the First District (New England Area) of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and continues to educate children, families, and communities in Boston and the surrounding areas in various leadership capacities.
